The Skipper Plus Moisture Meter
The Skipper non-destructive moisture meter provides a complete, safe method for detecting excess moisture in GRP and wooden boats. A pocket sized meter, the Skipper is designed to locate moisture in boat hulls and fittings.
The Skipper is used for:
- Early detection before blistering appears.
- Identifying extent of affected area.
- Monitoring hull during de-humidification.
- Checking stripped areas prior to re-coating.
 |
Benefits:
- Specifically designed for the needs of the Marine industry.
- Three ranges for detecting moisture in GRP, Marine Hardwood and Surface.
- Identify the presence of Osmosis in Fibreglass Hulls
- Confirm if wooden boats are dry enough for painting or varnishing.
- Trace deck and bulkhead leaks.
- Soft rubber electrodes make direct contact without scratching.
- No Pins, No Probes, No Scratching.

MRH Moisture and Humidity Measurement Meter (Digital)
A pocket size non-destructive digital display moisture meter for measuring the % moisture content in wood and comparative readings in other building materials. It incorporates a switchable specific gravity adjustment for most wood species, plus it provides relative readings deep into most building materials. such as Drywall, Roofing, Brick, Ceramic tile etc. The MRH also has the additional option of a Hygrometer mode to measure Relative Humidity, Temperature, Dew Point Temperature and Grains/lb.by simply plugging in the optional Tramex Relative Humidity Probe. Allows for use with ASTM F2170 and ASTM F2420. The MRH operates as a pin-type wood meter when used with the WPIE (Wood Probe Interface Electronics) and a Hand or Hammer Electrode.

Marine Survey Kit
Moisture Inspection Kit for the Marine Industry
A COMPLETE KIT FOR MOISTURE INSPECTION
 |
THIS KIT CONTAINS:
A non-destructive Skipper Plus.
- Professional pin type resistance meter. Use with hand held electrode for deep probing into hull a various other materials.
- Hand held electrode with 7" insulated pins.
- Digital Hygrometer for Temperature, Relative Humidity and Dew point temperature readings. Check relative humidity in cargo areas, engine room and forward cabins. Knowing dew point temperature and hull surface temperature could be helpful before application of new hull materials.
- Optional Infra-red Surface Thermometer for checking surface temperatures before & during application of hull materials, overheating of bearings, power generators etc.
- All of the above in a foam lined carrying case.
